Dr. Carl Schroeder - Minister to Seniors
Pastor Schroeder calls on church members who are 60 years and older. His focus is persons in retirement facilities, shut-ins or homebound, and persons in nursing homes. Carl also serves as adviser to the “Keenagers” which is Central Church’s 55+ group.
Carl graduated from Hope College in 1953, and from Western Theological Seminary in 1956. He and his wife Lucille were missionaries in Taiwan from 1957 to 1968. He was the Secretary for Evangelism RCA from 1969 to 1973.
Carl served Central Church as Minister of Care from 1973 to 1982. From 1982 to 2001, Carl worked as a marriage counselor in Holland. He received his Doctor of Ministry from Western Theological Seminary in 1980.
