Where we are going
Constellation of Stars
Central Reformed Church has adopted eight ministry priorities. The way stars in the sky guided mariners of old to their desired port, so we believe these priorities will help guide our ministry in the years to come. The eight stars in Central’s “constellation” are: Excellence in Worship, Christ-Like Caring, Socially Engaged, Outreach Oriented, Excellent Facilities, Ministry to Youth, Life-Long Learning and Christian Relationships.
Excellent Worship
Central Reformed Church will intentionally seek excellence in worship. Liturgy, music, technical support all will be given high priority. The Central pulpit, high and lifted up architecturally, should be noted for the highest quality preaching. Congregants should expect and experience sermons that are biblically solid, imaginatively conceived, passionately delivered, and crackling with relevance.
Christ-like Caring
Central will be a place of Christian care and concern. Congregants should expect and experience genuine caring from the pastoral staff and their fellow church members, and should extend that care to others, especially to the least and the lost.
Outreach Oriented
Central will be an outreach-oriented church where visitors are eagerly sought, warmly welcomed, lovingly accepted into membership, and intentionally assimilated.
Socially Engaged
Central will be a church with a lively social conscience, always alert to ways in which the gospel might be translated into acts of mercy and charity.
Excellent Facilities
Central Reformed Church will do ministry in a facility that is clean, safe, well lit, well maintained, handicap accessible, with adequate washrooms, an accessible nursery, spacious hallways and stairways, and a large, welcoming narthex.
Life-Long Learning
Central Reformed Church will offer a coordinated, full-orbed ministry of faith formation that will encompass childhood, adolescent, and adult education.
Ministry to Youth
Central Reformed Church will intentionally minister to our youth in a way that nurtures their faith, uses their gifts, expands their horizons, calls them to discipleship, and deepens their relationship with Jesus Christ.
Christian Relationships
Central will provide an atmosphere in which its members have opportunities to form relationships and connections with other Christians through which they will find spiritual as well as personal support and reassurance.

In 2008, Central Reformed Church finished our new addition of an atrium to our building.
This entrance and community space features handicapped restrooms easily accessible from the sanctuary and brings natural light into the lower level of the building.
