Nursery and Childcare
You are invited to bring your child to worship or to utilize our excellent childcare facilities. Central offers two nurseries for children ages 0-4 each Sunday.
Our infants nursery is staffed every Sunday from 9:15 am - 12:15 pm by Leah Van Schouwen. Leah, along with her adult and youth helpers, create an environment where these little ones can feel safe, secure and loved. This nursery room features a colorful wall sized painting of Jesus with the children and is packed with age appropriate toys. The connected sleeping room provides an excellent napping area and it is equipped with rocking swings and pack and play portable cribs.
Our twos and threes nursery is staffed by Allie Boyer from 9:15 to 12:15. Allie and her youth helpers and volunteer adults engage this age group in lots of play time with playdough, books and free play. Each week features circle time with a Bible story and a snack.
Older children (ages 4 - 4th grade) usually attend worship with their families until the children’s moment. Early in the service, the children are called forward for a brief object lesson. They are then escorted to our Children’s Worship Centers by their teachers and greeters. Parents are always welcome to attend the Worship Centers with their children, or may return to worship at any time.
