Worship

Processional

  Worship Times

Sunday worship at Central Reformed Church is at 9:30 AM.Special worship services are offered on Maundy Thursday (7:00 PM), Thanksgiving Eve (7:00 PM), Ash Wednesday (noon), and Christmas Eve (4:00 and 11:00 PM).

Worship at Central Reformed Church is rich and authentic. Clergy and choir are robed. Worship customarily begins with a processional - Acolytes, Cross Bearer, Bible Bearer, Choir, Clergy - and concludes with a recessional. One of the finest pipe organs in the state leads the congregation as they sing hymns to God. Communion is served on the first Sunday of the month. Baptism - infant and adult - is done on request, usually on the fourth Sunday of the month. Weddings are done on request for church members or their immediate family.Preaching is a priority at Central. We strive to offer preaching that is biblically solid, imaginatively conceived, passionately delivered, and crackling with relevance. On those occasions when our Pastoral Leader, Dr. Lotz, cannot be present, we strive to bring to our pulpit the finest preachers in the area. Guest preachers at Central have included theologian and author Frederick Buechner, Thomas Long, Professor of Preaching at Candler School of Theology, Emory University, Dr. David Bast, President of Words of Hope, and Dr. Laura Smit, Dean of the Chapel, Calvin College.

When you worship at Central, you will find a caring, welcoming congregation. Visitors are expected and are warmly included. A typical Order of Worship is as follows:
