Sunday and Thursday Mornings Coffee & Bible Study:
Compiling of the Canon
- The Compiling of the Canon: What is a canon and why does the Church have one? And who decided what books were going to be in it? Join Pastor Karen on either Sunday at 11:00 AM (in Worship Center I) or Thursday mornings at 10:00 AM (in the Parlor) for a four-week study about the scriptures.
- April 20th & April 24: The Apocrypha
- April 27 & May 1: The New Testament
- May 4 & May 8: The Gnostic Gospels and other Extra Canonical Books.
Food, Justice and Faith: David Dornbos of Calvin College will present this four-week series on the issues surrounding the food we eat, where it comes from, and how what we do effects others and the environment we have been entrusted with. Join us April 20th and on April 27 and May 4 in the Parlor.
Understanding Elder Law: Imagine this scenario: Your mother falls and is taken to the hospital. She isn’t able to communicate for herself and suddenly you need to make decisions for her. Do you have all of your paperwork in order? Do you even know what permissions you need? What if she needs nursing home care? Will Medicaid help? Attorney Laurie K. Murphy, will present Understanding Elder Law at 11:10 AM in Worship Center II. Join us for this important session to help protect yourself and your loved ones.
New Members’ Class: Do you have questions about us as a church? Or about our worship service? Or about us as a people? Then we invite you to join Dr. Lotz in his office at 11:10 AM to have your questions answered and learn a little more about us as well. Please know that your attendance in this class does not obligate you to join.
